Swat Participatory Council

SPC is a civil society organization empowerment youth and communities in Khyber PakhtunKhwa through cultural preservation, sustainable development, and participatory governance. it focuses on climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, and youth engagement, supported by partnerships with UN agencies and international donors.

WHO WE ARE

Swat Participatory Council (SPC) is a registered civil society organization working in Swat and Khyber PakhtunKhwa for the last Twenty years. SPC in accordance with its mission completed different projects with respective government line agencies, national and international development partners’ i.e  United States Agency for International Development (USAID),  United Nations Development Program(UNDP),  Deutsche Gesellschaft für InternationaleZusammenarbeit (GIZ), World Food Program (WFP), Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) and Prince Claus Fund (PCF).The organization carried out different activities and undertook special initiatives. These were directed to address issues related to Governance, environment, political empowerment, disaster management, health, dialogue, Peace Building, conservation of cultural heritage and conducted Surveys as well.  Seminars and workshops were organized and international days were observed. The organization signed MOUs with different government line agencies to implement programs. The organization leads a network of community-based organizations in Swat district and has evolved a social capital comprising community activists all over the Malakand division.SPC facilitated relief process in response to recent conflict induced crisis and continued to support rehabilitation process as part of the United Nation cluster system in the health, Agriculture and Community Restoration.Recently, the organization carried out second strategic planning exercise revisiting vision and mission, setting five program areas of Culture, Development, Local Governance, Climate change and Disaster Risk Reduction as key areas to work in future.

The Swat Participatory Council (SPC) is a civil society organization dedicated to empowering youth and communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, through cultural preservation, sustainable development, and participatory governance. We focuses on key areas like climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, youth engagement, and local governance, implementing projects such as heritage conservation, renewable energy solutions, and flood recovery. SPC collaborates with UN agencies, international donors, and local partners to build inclusive institutions and drive positive change in the Malakand Division. Its mission centers on fostering peace, resilience, and equitable development through community-led initiatives.

MISSION

SPC is strengthening and encouraging the young activist, and both young men and women in building institution for culture development, Climate change and governance with their active participation.
